Scary School!

Today me, a couple of my friends, and most of the high school dressed up for Halloween! Some of the costumes were really hilarious. I dressed up as a grandpa (with a hunchback and everything) and my friend Lani was Mrs. Butterworth's (above). It was awesome!!!

My friend Jade was Dora the Explorer (far left). She made her backpack and it looked just like Dora's! Her wig was cool too. And Hannah was sortof a pirate (far right).

I hope you all have a good Halloween!

Halloween Kittys

Here is Jack being crazy this halloween morning.

Ike has taken over my halloween basket as his own, But he was way to cute to kick out!

Carvin' Like Crazy

It was time for our pumpkins to be carved! It's always fun to stick your hands down in that squeezy goo! Wyatt carved a kitty, my mom did a little ghost, and I did a pirate skull that is pretty hard to discern because it's so detailed. Even the pets got pretty interested; Chili jumped up on the counter and watched us work while Eddy scarfed down stray seeds! Happy Halloween!

Mallory's Symphonic Orchestra Concert

The show was awesome! Mallory plays in the 1st Chair, 2nd Section Violins - right in front of the conductor (her teacher, Mr. Beck). Here's some photos and a couple snippets of the music.

And then the camera batteries died.

More Photos From The FLAVILLA!

Not Really Spooky

Mom sent me this image from her cell phone. Looks like the Fla. Folks are all decorated up for Halloween too! Love the quilt mom!

Arches National Park with Jen and Mal and Wyatt

Last fall I had the chance to travel to Utah to stay with the kids while Jen went to China but the China trip didn't happen. We decided to go to Moab where we had a wonderful time and Jen took fabulous pics, so I decided everyone should get a chance to see some of them.

Kitty cats and afternoon naps!

Today Chili went into one of his unpredictable crazy rowdy fits on the stairs! Can't you see the crazed look in his eye???

Then my mom layed down for her Sunday afternoon nap. Chili slinked over (after calming down considerably) and crept into his usual spot on top of the couch. I just had to take a discreet snapshot because I thought they looked so cute. My mom disagrees............I honestly can't see why.

Apocalypse

Or something like that. Check out the weird lighting in the sky. No color editing has been done to these photos.

Our first snowstorm of the fall. It snowed about 2". Guess what? Supposed to be 70 degrees by Wednesday. This is the neighbor's house across the street from us.

Try to ignore the weeds you see in this photo. Thanks!

Sunday Sunny Sunday

Today was a gorgeous day! I think it will be the last of the nice weather for a while - tomorrow we have a high of 58! Sophie has horseback riding lessons on Sundays and she is doing incredibly well. Here is a video of her riding today at her lesson. I think it is amazing that a kiddo as small as Sophie can control such a big horse but it seems to be second nature to her, today she is riding the horse Peppy. Sophie's friend Ainsley also rides in the same class and above is a photo of them today before their lesson. Also here is a photo of Olivia. She likes to come to Sophie's lesson and help out with the smaller kids. Olivia is a heck of a rider too...I will shoot a video of her at her lessons on Tuesday - she rides in the advanced class. Race-os will start in November, both of the girls will compete in their age groups for a ribbons and a belt buckle.

Awesome Lake Powell Adventure!!

This Saturday I got back from a 3-day trip to Lake Powell with my good friend Rachel. It was wonderful!!! Her family has a time share on a house boat, so certain weeks of the year they get to use it. When we got there, we rode out to the house boat, then came back to the shore and picked up Rachel's parent's friends. There were 7 adults and 4 kids, me, Rachel, her sister Erica, and Erica's friend Derek.
We swam a lot every day, even though the water was freezing! There was a slide on the side of the boat that we slid andjumped off of. We also had 4 waverunners! Those things were so fun! And I also wakeboarded. I LOVE it, but my arms got so sore!!
At night me and Rachel would set up our beds right under the stars. They were so vibrant and clear!
I had such an awesome time, I really want to do it again! I didn't take very many pictures, but here's a few of me holding the fish, Rachel on deck, and me sortof driving the boat ;)

My new friend, George Duran

Last night (10/12/07), my mom and I went down to the Expo Center because we heard that George Duran was coming. It was a home show their so he was coming to do cooking demonstrations. He's a really cool guy and he has his own show on Food Network called Ham On The Street. Anyway, he did a really neat cooking demo based around peanut butter and jelly. He made bread pudding and some exquisite peanut butter and jelly rice crispy treats. He also made some deep fried brie. I got to sing the peanut butter jelly song in front of about 100 people too! He is such a good chef and I really look up to him so I was pretty happy that I got to meet him. Not very usual that you get to meet somebody famous!

Playing in the leaves

Great school pics! When I see Mallory it's like looking into the future because Haley reminds me so much of Mal - I imagine that's how she will look as a teenager:)

The girls had fun playing in the leaves this past weekend when it was in the high 80s.
