We went skiing in a blizzard!

We had to use 4wd to get up the mountain. It's a 15 mile drive up the canyon to the resort - Brighton. Brighton Ski Resort is owned by the same people who own Boyne Mountain in Michigan.





Here are the kids getting on the lift. Wyatt is in the orange jacket, Mallory is in the lighter blue jacket.



There they go...I could only get a couple photos before I froze stiff.



This is what the valley looks like when you exit the canyon. No snow clouds out here! Actually the blizzard settled down to a light snow around 2pm.



That is Salt Lake City off in the distance. You can see the great Salt Lake to the left of the city. It is a white horizontal sliver below the mountains. Those are the Ochre Mountains on the left. To the right of the city are the Wasatch Mountains. These ranges are considered part of the Rocky Mountain range.
